Each year students and parents must sign the Acceptable Use Policy Agreement, which gives permission for students to use the district's IInternet network. Also attached is a permission form for publishing students' pictures and work on the district's and schools' websites. As media coordinator and webmaster, I keep a record of students who have these permissions.

I trained teachers at a county-wide staff development on copyright laws and fair use. I created a powerpoint that outlines the four tests of fair use.

I placed copy of the Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines for Teachers chart near each copy machine in the school. I also distributed these at my county-wide staff development training session on copyright and fair use. I also directed teachers to the NCWiseOwl website to find more information about copyright and fair use in education.

Because I teach at a K-8 school, when I teach copyright and fair use lessons to my students, I use a variety of resources. I use lessons and resources from the NCWiseOwl website. The following videos are especially enjoyed by students. They also generate a lot of discussion.
